Snow White: Missoula Children’s Theatre & RLOP

Missoula Children’s Theatre (http://mctinc NULL.org) and Rossland Light Opera Players present “Snow White”.

A little red truck pulls into your town with everything it takes to mount a full-scale musical production…except the cast. That’s where the children of your community come in. On Monday, they’re cast as characters. By Saturday, they’ve gained character – the kind that really counts.

Dates: April 29-May 4, 2013
Who: All children grades K-12 in the Greater Trail Area (Castlegar, Fruitvale, Montrose, Rossland and Trail)
Times: TBA closer to date. Children will be expected to attend rehearsals every day that week for 2-4 hours depending on part in the show.

Fall Dinner Theatre 2011 – Murder At Crooked House!!!

Come join us for this hilarious murder mystery/dinner theatre.

A two-act musical comedy mystery
Book by Tim Kelly Music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur

November 5th @ the Fruitvale Community Hall (tickets at Fruitvale Hometown Video)

November 12th @ the Rossland Miner’s Hall (tickets at RossVegas and Rossland Pro Hardware)

$35.00/person for Dinner and Show.  Catering by The Harvest Table.

Spooky, suspenseful, but mostly funny. This kinky spoof of TV’s “Private Eye” shows of the fifties features Hercules Porridge, the famous Hoboken detective. Whodunit? Was it Jeebes, the butler? Anguish Crispie, the mystery writer? Rebecca Fitzwilliam, the landlady of Crooked House? Ore one of the other oddball house-guests? Lots of zany action as the eccentric Colonel Chutney keeps attacking the house with his “Victorian Regiment.”

Friday night I went to the Rossland Light Opera’s performance of The Wizard of Oz… and was I ever impressed! They did a terrific job and as I was sitting enjoying the live orchestra and watching the many talented actors, I found myself vowing to not miss any of these live shows ever again.

Updates: Fall Fair, Fall Show, and Auditions!

Fall 2010

Hey everyone!

The Golden City Days/Fall Fair was an fantastic event! We made just shy of $400 on the Tea Garden and our float was a great crowd pleaser. We sang “We’re Off To See The Wizard” while handing out pamphlets. I’m thrilled to say that we had a huge membership turnout for this event; more people than can be named, so a huge thanks and great work to those who attended or baked!

Auditions are done for the Fall Show and we now have a great cast. We will still need support on the show nights (Nov. 6th and 13th) to help with the bartending etc. Let me know how you can help!

Mainstage Audition reminder: The read thrus are this week; the auditions are next week. You do not have to attend the read thrus to get the chance to audition. The read thrus are there to help you decide if you want to be a part of this version of WoZ; it’s different than the Judy Garland version.
