Wayne Kelly: Wizard of Oz Rocked!

Friday night I went to the Rossland Light Opera’s performance of The Wizard of Oz… and was I ever impressed! They did a terrific job and as I was sitting enjoying the live orchestra and watching the many talented actors, I found myself vowing to not miss any of these live shows ever again.

I loved every second from the music, to the acting, to the set design and set changes, to the general ambience of being out on a friday night!

It’s amazing to me that so many of these talented actors are just regular people from right here in our community. I’ve seen many of them ramdomly around town, but I had no idea they were singers, or actors, or musicians.

IHONATO Ends

It Happened One Night at the Opera (IHONATO) finished with its strongest performance on Saturday afternoon. The stage was struck and packed into the Hall, and everyone enjoyed the post-run cast party. Food was provided by Orchestra Director Joseph S. Fuoco.
