Synopsis:

The Merry Widow (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/The_Merry_Widow) is an operetta by the Austro–Hungarian composer Franz Lehár (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Franz_Leh%C3%A1r) and librettists, Viktor Léon (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Viktor_L%C3%A9on) and Leo Stein (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/Leo_Stein_%28writer%29).

First performed in 1905, the story concerns a rich widow, and her countrymen’s attempt to keep her money in the principality by finding her the right husband.
